Dariapur Lichutola is a community-based cultural organization founded under the visionary leadership of Jahid Hassan Rajib, a dedicated social worker and community organizer committed to social and cultural transformation. The organization emerged from the combined efforts of social workers, civic leaders, prominent citizens and educated youth, with the aim of fostering a progressive political, social and cultural outlook within the community.
At its core, the organization reflects Rajib’s belief that a society becomes stronger when it reconnects with its roots. Under his guidance, Dariapur Lichutola works to collect, preserve and present local historical heritage. The effort aims to build a bridge between generations and preserve cultural memory as a living resource for the future.
Jahid Hassan Rajib continues to oversee the organization with discipline, integrity and a long-term vision. He sees social development as a balance between structural progress and intellectual awakening. One of his most significant contributions is to preserve a rare tradition of genealogical records and ancestral root-searching – a legacy begun by previous generations and now preserved as a cultural responsibility. Through this work, he strives to strengthen the sense of identity, belonging, and historical consciousness within the community.
Under Rajib’s leadership, the organization carries a moral commitment:
From darkness to light, from bondage to freedom,
from superstition to reason, from despair to hope,
from cultural degradation to refined culture,
from falsehood to truth, and from evil to the triumph of good.
